Wings (WINGS)| Rating: 6/10 | Outlook: Flat
Wings is a blockchain project that is developing a platform whereby project teams can get their ICO evaluated by the entire Wings community. The Wings community can even forecast the prospects of particular ICOs in so much as how much they raise and how the tokens are likely to perform.
Wings is run by a Decentralised Autonomous Organisation (DAO) called the Wings Foundation. Governance of the Wings protocol is not controlled by a centralised authority but is instead managed through the use of smart contracts and blockchain technology.
Apart from being able to make forecasts on ICOs on the Wings Platform, the Wings community can also vote on proposals that are brought forward by the foundation. This will give the Wings holders a direct stake in the governance decisions that are taken by the broader foundation.
The Wings foundation is based in Switzerland and the team is comprised of a number of successful engineers, scientists and businessmen. The leader of that team is Stas Oskin who has decades of engineering and management experience, with specializations in cloud infrastructure and scalability.
Wings completed an ICO in November of 2016. They were able to raise a total of only $1.7m. They sold 60 million tokens in this crowd sale and there is a maximum supply of 100m WINGS tokens.
In terms of development, there has been limited activity in the DAO GitHub over the past 12 months. At the time of the report, there was no update to the project's roadmap which was communicated to the community.
WINGS tokens hit the exchanges in January of 2017 and reached a peak in December of 2017. They have however fallen back to record lows on account of the "crypto winter". WINGS is available on a number of exchanges although the bulk of their volume is on Binance and Bittrex.
There is relatively strong liquidity for the tokens yet they are still quite volatile compared to coins that have a similar market cap.
